Emmanuel Robesyn, European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC), Sweden
Emmanuel Robesyn is a primary health care physician with training in tropical medicine, emergency medicine and disaster management. He further studied health administration and hospital infection control. After some years of clinical activity, he started working as an infectious disease epidemiologist at the Flemish Ministry of Health in Belgium, where he was involved in the investigation of outbreaks, the coordination of hospital infection control audits, and pandemic preparedness. He currently works at ECDC as an expert in outbreak response and in the coordination of the European Legionnaires’ disease surveillance network.
